Sisi affirms Egypt's resolve to bolster relations with Asian

Visiting Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday asserted Egypt's resolve to beef up its relations with the Asian countries to the most advanced levels.

Addressing a galaxy of prominent Singaporean businessmen hosting a luncheon in honor of the visiting Egyptian president, Sisi said Egypt attached great importance to improving the climate of investment to lure more foreign investments to the country in light of serious current challenges.

Sisi voiced happiness over his visit to Singapore as the first Egyptian president to do such a visit. He asserted that Egypt has a serious resolve to beef up its relations with friendly Asian countries to reach to distinguished levels.

The Egyptian president said his visit to Singapore reflects a serious preparedness to open up spheres of cooperation and establish a real partnership that aims at achieving mutual development goals for both countries.

He pointed out that Egypt's future political roadmap and its bid to rebuild its democratic institutions should come in line with the people's demands to introduce a change in the country's economic concepts and strategy in order to increase growth rates and achieve a balanced and comprehensive development.

"It is a huge challenge ahead of us," he said, noting that a economic roadmap plan has been outlined to help achieve an economic recovery and overcome the crises caused by several years of unrest.

Sisi highlighted that the application of structural reforms to Egypt's chronic problems along with rationalization of energy at a value of dlrs six billion and the adoption of a financial policy to up the government investments. He also pinpointed to some mega development projects along with small and medium-scale investment chances to help decrease unemployment rates.

The Egyptian president also underlined Egypt's success in accomplishing the new Suez Canal project, which he described as "Egypt's Gift to the World" as a clear evidence on Egypt's plans to achieve a comprehensive economic renaissance in the coming phase.
