
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received Sunday a delegation of Arab and foreign investors who are taking part in the second Egyptian investment forum.
The delegation includes 26 presidents and representatives of trade and industrial chambers from several world countries.
The meeting was attended by Trade and Industry Minister Tareq Qabil and Investment Minister Dalia Kohrshid.
During the meeting, President Sisi welcomed the Arab and foreign investors, affirming that the meeting is a good opportunity to get acquainted with the various proposals and ideas to improve investment climate and enhance economic cooperation with several countries, said Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef.
Egypt is keen on cooperating with all investors and enabling them of benefiting from the promising investment opportunities in the various sectors, Sisi said.
Sisi also reviewed efforts exerted by the Egyptian government to promote economy, encourage investment and overcome bureaucracy.
The government managed over the past year in securing the necessary energy for the ambitious development program, which is being implemented in Egypt, he added.
Egypt adopted several measures over the past period to promote security and stability, Sisi said, adding that several national projects to develop roads network and main infrastructure were launched.
Several Arab investors and representatives of trade chambers voiced keenness on continuing cooperation with Egypt and expanding their companies' activities, said the spokesman.
They also underlined the importance of continuing efforts to reduce bureaucracy and attain stability in the foreign exchange market.
Sisi, meanwhile, affirmed that he is closely following up the measures taken by the government to overcome the obstacles facing the operating companies in Egypt.
Egypt also managed over the past period to overcome several challenges besetting the Arab and foreign investments, he affirmed.
The stability in the foreign exchange market is related to international economic conditions along with domestic ones, Sisi said, asserting the government's keenness on taking all the necessary measures to stabilize the foreign exchange market.
The trade and industry minister said during the meeting that the second Egyptian investment forum is organized by the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce in cooperation with the ministries of trade and industry and investment, said the spokesman.
He also pointed out to the participation of investors and representatives of trade and industrial chambers from 57 countries in the forum.
The forum aims to brief Arab and foreign investors on the available investment opportunities in Egypt.
