Sisi meets UK House of Commons delegation

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Wednesday a delegation from the British House of Commons led by Sir Richard Ottaway.
During the meeting, Sisi reviewed the latest developments in Egypt over the past two years along with the challenges facing it at the current period, said Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef.
The meeting also took up the political developments in Egypt, the spokesman said, adding that Sisi affirmed that the June 30 Revolution was the embodiment of the will of the Egyptian people, who revolted against attempts to change their identity.
The delegation was keen to get acquainted with the conditions in Egypt, given its key role in the Middle East, added the spokesman.
Sisi affirmed that the new Constitution respects human rights, adding that the state is currently exerting efforts to entrench respecting rights of women and children, according to the spokesman.
Sisi also pointed out to the British Parliament's role in developing Egyptian-British ties, especially at the parliamentary level, said the spokesman.
