
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received here on Thursday Nigerien Foreign Minister Aisha Bolama, who delivered a message from the president of Niger inviting the Egyptian leader to his inauguration ceremony on Saturday.
The ambassador of Niger in Cairo was present at the meeting.
The minister asserted keenness of the Nigerien president on dispatching her to hand over the message to President Sisi in appreciation and respect of the Egyptian leadership and the achievements reached at the political and economic levels, Presidency Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
President Sisi welcomed the minister and asserted Egypt's keenness on participating in the ceremony with a high-level delegation. However, he said that previous engagements will prevent him from attending himself, the spokesman said.
President Sisi underlined keenness on visiting Niger later in appreciation of the Nigerien president's invitation and to promote relations of friendship with the sisterly African nation.
The president asserted keenness on enhancing cooperation with Niger in combating terror, the spokesman said, referring to the military training courses offered to African nationals to hone the African skills in the field of fighting terror.
The president noted identical views of both nations regarding settling the Libyan crisis and supporting efforts to form a new government and enhance the national army to protect the rights of the Libyan people, the spokesman said.
The foreign minister praised the keenness of the political leadership in Egypt boosting the participation of women in the political, economic and social life in Egypt.
She also thanked the Egyptian leader for his concern with conditions of women in general.
The president underscored the need to continue to coordinate with the African nations, the spokesman said.
