The Observatory of Extremist Fatwa (religious opinion), which is affiliated with Darul Ifta, on Tuesday said that continued contacts between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and US President Donald Trump assert that the new US administration is aware of the burdens shouldered by Egypt in fighting terrorism and extremism.
In a comment on a phone call by the US president to Sisi, the observatory pointed out that it attests to the fact that the new US administration is seeking to fight terrorism and extremism and support Egypt in this regard.
If the new US administration is sincere in fighting terrorism, it should translate this stance into material and moral support on the ground, added the observatory.
