South Korea's Foreign Minister Kim Sung-hwan will make a three-day visit to Thailand and Myanmar from Monday. In Thailand, Kim will discuss expanding trade and cooperation in energy and resources with Thai Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul. He will also pay a courtesy call to Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, according to Korea's (KBS WORLD) website. Kim's next stop is Myanmar where he will meet with Foreign Minister Wunna Maung Lwin and discuss bilateral economic cooperation. South Korea's Foreign ministry says Kim's visit to Myanmar is the first by a South Korean foreign minister since 1985, and it expects the trip to help advance bilateral relations amid changes taking place in Myanmar's political affairs.
