
The fourth Arab-European ministerial meeting which opens later Tuesday at the Cairo-based Arab League headquarters will focus on priorities and mechanisms of cooperation in the coming period, especially in view of security and social threats, the visiting Slovak top diplomat said.
In statements to MENA on Tuesday, Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak - whose country chairs the European Union - said the AL is a key partner in several issues.
He noted that there are a host of challenges and crises facing the international community; namely terror, economic development and illegal immigration.
He underlined the importance of working together to reach a permanent solution to the illegal immigration problem.
