The Slovak Government on its regular session on Wednesday approved a list of three candidates for the post of European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) judge.
The three candidates for the Slovak representative at the Strasbourg-based court are former lawyer at the ECHR Zuzana Dlugosova, Regional Court judge Ladislav Dudits and Supreme Court judge Alena Polackova.
The list is now due to be submitted to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Slovakia has failed to find eligible candidates for the post for more than two years. The post is still held by Jan Sikuta, who's term expired on Oct. 30, 2013.
