Soldier's body back in Akkar hometown

Amid scenes of grief the body of first army sergeant Ibrahim Zahraman slain yesterday night in a clash with gunmen in Ersal, arrived in his hometown of Sheikhtaya/Akkar. The body would be lying in state at the local mosque for people to pay their last respects. Draped in national colors, the coffin was paraded in town by family members, comrades-in-arms and deputy of the House Nidal Tohmeh, NNA field reporters said.
