The Zionist Regime is the real source of concern in the Middle East for the regional countries, Iranian ambassador to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Ali-Asghar Soltanieh said on Friday. Speaking at the 151-nation IAEA General conference, Iranian Ambassador to the IAEA, asserting that the Zionist Regime's undeclared atomic arms program is a threat to the Middle East peace, asked the international nuclear agency to advise the Zionist Regime to open its nuclear program to international purview. “Bringing the Zionist Regime’s military nuclear activities under the IAEA supervision can help the fulfillment of a plan, proposed to make a Middle East free of nuclear bombs.' He noted that Zionist Regime’s refusal to sign the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and throw open its nuclear facilities to the IAEA supervision' is a threat to the security and stability of the Middle East states.' 'The international community must bring real and genuine pressure on the Zionist Regime,' said Soltanieh. Referring to the 2010 review of Non-Proliferation Treaty, which asks Tel Aviv to open all its nuclear facilities to the IAEA nuclear inspectors, he added that the Zionist Regime as an aggressive regmie has ignored all international rules and regulations. It is a source of serious concern defying the NPT rules and regulations, said the Iranian envoy, adding the nuclear armed countries are helping the Zionist regime promote its military nuclear program. Islamic nations at the 151-nation conference have demanded that Israel open its nuclear program to the international view, asserting that its undeclared atomic arms program is a threat to the Middle East peace. Lebanon, speaking for the Arab group, said as well that Tel Aviv’s refusal to open up its secretive nuclear program could lead to a Mideast arms race “with unpredictable consequences.” They spoke on Friday as the International Atomic Energy Agency passed a resolution, calling on all Middle East states to adopt the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. That’s an indirect demand on the Zionist Regime, the only country in the region not bound by the treaty. The Zionist Regime is widely believed to be the only Middle East country with nuclear weapons. Signing up to the NPT would oblige the Zionist regime to open up its nuclear facilities to the IAEA. Iran signed up to the NPT before the 1979 Islamic revolution.
