South Korea president discusses future growth with Singapore PM

South Korean President Park Geun-hye met with Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong Wednesday and discussed ways to forge closer cooperation in developing future growth engines for their countries, Yonhap News Agency reported. "Our two countries have something in common in that they lack natural resources, but realized economic growth based on excellent human resources," Park said at the start of talks. "I believe both countries are faced with a common task of making a new leap forward based on creativity and innovation," she added. "If our two countries strengthen future-oriented cooperation at this point and move together on the path toward a new leap, I believe it will be of big help for the two countries' development," she said. Park also called for closer political and security cooperation between the sides. Lee said South Korea and Singapore can share experiences in tackling economic and social problems. He also said he is taking note of Park's "creative economy" campaign.
