South Korea seeking to counter Japan's history distortion

South Korea is seeking fundamental measures to counter Japan's attempts to distort their shared history, Seoul's education minister said Friday, offering his ministry's plans to promote an accurate account of history at home and abroad. Education Minister Seo Nam-soo made the remarks during a session of a special parliamentary committee, saying the recent inflammatory remarks and moves of some Japanese politicians did not appear to be accidental.
