South Korea to send $200,000 in earthquake aid to Pakistan

South Korea will send US$200,000 in humanitarian aid to Pakistan to help the country cope with the fallout from a massive earthquake, the foreign ministry said Tuesday. The magnitude seven tremor that hit the southwestern part of the country late last month reportedly resulted in hundreds of deaths and caused considerable material damage. Countries from all over the world have been sending aid to help relief workers deal with the tragedy. The ministry said the aid will be sent to the Red Crescent Society to be used to buy blankets and sanitation equipments in order to help alleviate the plight of quake victims.
