Spanish cargo ship runs aground in south west France,1 injured

 A Spanish cargo ship run aground on Wednesday along the coast of the town of Anglet in southwestern France, injuring one sailor and triggered risks of water pollution, local media reported. According to the French news channel BFMTV, the ship with 12 sailors, slammed into a jetty at around 10:00 local time (0900 GMT). It was heading to the port of of Bayonne to load up. Its engine failed and big waves and strong winds carried it into the jetty. A sailor was wounded and the rest of the crew was saved after being evacuated by a military helicopter, it added. "There was more damage on board, especially a total electrical damage. Vessel tried to anchor, but the boat was cut in two," captain Lionel Delort, from the Atlantic port prefecture was quoted as saying. According to the report, the hold of the ship which contained 127 square meter of oil was empty when the accident occurred. However, there was still risk with small amount of fuel having spilled into the water.
