
The Speaker of the Arab Inter-parliamentary Union (AIPU), H.E. Mr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Jerwan, condemned the "brutal terrorist" explosion which targeted the Mosque of Sheikh Isa bin Salman in Riffa City south of the Bahraini Capital, Manama, in which a booby-trapped motorcar was detonated whilst worshippers were performing the Al-Taraweeh prayers last Wednesday (17 July 2013). Mr. Ahmed Al-Jerwan condemned this mean and heinous act of terrorism perpetrated by terrorists during the holy month of Ramadan aimed to terrify peaceful worshippers in contravention of all universal norms, religions and ethics. Mr. Al-Jerwan called for accountability of the culprits and affirmed his support to the official bodies to promptly identify the aggressors and perpetrators who are responsible for this dangerous act of terrorism in order to safeguard the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain's security and stability.
