
Spouses of heads of state of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will hold a special session on the sidelines of the 13th OIC summit on April 10-15 in Istanbul, Turkey.
The wives' meeting will be the first of its kind to be held within the OIC.
It theme will be "efforts of spouses of OIC heads of state in fighting cancer in OIC member states", said OIC media director Maha Mostafa Aqil.
The special session aims to create and promote awareness about the growing burdens associated with cancer in OIC member states and means to carry out effective prevention from the disease and provide proper healthcare to its patients, she said.
