Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Saad Hayel Srour and Egypt Shura Council Speaker Ahmed Fahmy on Monday reviewed the latest regional developments and efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region. Srour reiterated the depth of ties between the Jordanian and Egyptian people, noting the Kingdom’s keenness to cement these relations serving the two people’s interests. He briefed the visiting Egyptian official on the parliament’s mechanisms in terms of setting up committees and blocs. He also noted the development of the democratic and partisan life in Jordan. The meeting also touched on the latest developments in Syria and the conditions of Syrian refugees.
