
His Highness Major Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Royal Guards Special Force Commander, witnessed the joint training between Bahrain Royal Guards Special Unit and the French Special Unit at Biarritz in the French Republic.
The training programme included the implementation of a series of military activities such as the use of latest technologies and advanced concepts, which contribute to raising military intelligence for military leaders of both countries. In addition giving them the ability to analyze and understand the military through exchanging experiences and acquire more expertise in the field.
His Highness Major Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa met the leaders of the French Special Unit and a number of senior French military officials, and conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF); and Brigadier-General HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Royal Guard Commander.
Shaikh Khalid praised the outstanding military level of the French Special Forces, which reflects their readiness. His Highness considered the French forces to be one of the most prominent military schools in the world, which has a wealth of experience.
During the meeting His Highness discussed with the French commanders ways to continue such joint training between the forces, in the future.
His Highness asserted that this exercise comes as an implementation of the directives of the wise leadership, Commander-in-Chief of BDF and the His Highness Commander of the Royal Guards, to raise the efficiency, readiness and teamwork of the Royal Guards Special Unit, in-line with a clear strategy that aims to raise the general readiness level to deal with modern instruments and techniques.
Major Shaikh Khalid praised the Royal Guards Special Unit’s officers and members during the meeting for their readiness in the training session, and the high military capacity they displayed.
He stressed that the exercise aims to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and joint work on exchanging military and combat expertise and increasing the cooperation with France.
