Cooperation in the north and south of Central Europe would make the region stronger within the EU and partake in policy-making, Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic said on Friday.
She hoped her initiative of cooperation from the Adriatic to the Baltic and the Black Sea would also facilitate Croatian companies to enter third markets, she said after a three-day visit to Poland.
On Friday in Warsaw, Grabar-Kitarovic said it was necessary to strengthen cooperation among "natural allies" with historical ties.
"Central Europe is faced with common economic, geopolitical and security challenges," she said, adding cooperation between Poland in the north and Croatia in the south is very important.
She said that Croatia was preparing to organize a summit of "the Adriatic to the Baltic and the Black Sea" initiative in the summer which would include 12 countries.
