
Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Karti met here today with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly . Talks during the meeting dealt with strengthening cooperation between the two sides and issues of common interest and the role of the UN in promoting peace and stability in Sudan, according to the Sudan News Agency (SUNA). Both sides also reviewed relations development between Khartoum and Juba and the progress made in the implementation of the joint cooperation agreement as well as the positive outcomes of Al-Bashir-Salva Kiir summit, which held in Khartoum. Karti called on United Nations to support the positive development between the two States in order to achieve stability in the region.
