The Assistant of Sudan's President and Deputy Chairman of the National Congress Party (NC) Dr. Nafie Ali Nafie said on Wednesday that events taking place in Sudan, Egypt and the rest of the world lately are worth deep discussions. The Sudanese official said that the Egyptian populous role in the two countries'' bilateral relations was largely marginalized in the past, he added that now is the time to activate that role which will result in a push forward in bilateral relations. Nafie, who is currently visiting Cairo as head of a NC delegation meeting with the Sudanese community in Egypt, stressed on the importance of agreement of political movements and parties in both countries on the interests of the two countries. He said that this is possible even if the ideologies of the groups are different. Deputy Chairman of NC said that his visit to Egypt aims at reaching a common consensus with all political groups in Egypt in regards to the future of the strategic relationship that binds Egypt and Sudan.
