Sudanese Presidential Advisor Dr Mustafa Osman Ismail has termed the current visit by President Omar Al-Bashir to the State of Qatar as very important, especially as it coincides with significant circumstances regionally and internationally. Ismail, in comments today given to Sudan Radio over telephone from Doha, said at the regional level there are developments in the neighboring Arab countries such as Libya, Egypt, Syria and Yemen and at the international level there are efforts to obtain full membership for the State of Palestine in the UN and the constraints imposed by the western states in the face of this membership, pointing out that HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani had recently addressed the UN General Assembly about this matter. The Sudanese Presidential Advisor said bilateral relations between Doha and Khartoum and the Qatari investments in Sudan have been growing significantly and steadily, especially in the areas of agriculture, real estate, banks and livestock. Commenting on President Al-Bashir''s visit to Doha, Ismail said he was sure that Al-Bashir will extend his thanks and appreciation to the Qatari leadership for what had been achieved in Darfur issue and their efforts that culminated by the signing of the Darfur Peace Agreement.
