US blacklisting of the jihadist Al-Nusra Front as a "terrorist organisation" was "wrong and hurried," Syria's influential opposition Muslim Brotherhood said in a statement on Wednesday. "We in the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria believe that some states' decision to add revolutionary movements in Syria to their lists of terrorist organisations was a hurried, wrong move that should be condemned," the Brotherhood said. President "Bashar al-Assad is the only terrorist in Syria," the statement added. The blacklisting of Al-Nusra Front "contradicts the idea of supporting the project of freedom and human dignity." The international community has "watched the Syrian crisis unfold for over 20 months," the Brotherhood said. "The first and only terrorist on Syrian territory is Bashar al-Assad and his criminal gangs. "Assad is the one who has used weapons that are forbidden under international law, bombarding innocent civilians...(and) slaughtering hundreds of women and children," it added.
