The Arab League Council held here at the permanent delegates' level decided to refer the whole Syrian file to the Arab foreign ministers' meeting, which will convene Sunday. The file will be submitted to the foreign ministers to settle a dispute on the Syrian opposition taking up Syria's seat at the Arab League, said deputy AL secretary general Ahmad bin Hilli. Arab officials are still holding consultations on how to deal with the Syrian file and steps needed to halt violence and launch a political process that leads to a political solution to the crisis now entering its third year, Hilli said. The meeting also addressed previous resolutions issued on the Palestinian issue, Lebanon and the Golan Heights, he said.
