Syrian interim government opens first embassy in Doha, Qatar on Wednesday. The inauguration of the embassy were attended by Prime Minister Ghassan Hito of interim government, Moaz Al-Khatib, head of Syrian National Coalition for Opposition & Revolutionary Forces (SMDK), Nizar al-Hiraki, SMDK's Ambassador to Qatar, and members of the SMDK and Hakki Emre Yunt, Turkey's Doha Ambassador. SMDK's Ambassador to Qatar Nizar al-Hiraki said in his opening speech that this is a sign for a new beginning for Syria. The embassy will carry out all diplomatic procedures in Qatar.
