Syrian minister: Solving crisis in Syria starts by stopping, uprooting terrorism

Syrian Minister of State for National Reconciliation Affairs Ali Haidar stressed that solving the crisis in his country should start by stopping terrorism and drying its sources. In an interview with the Syrian TV Channel, Haidar said that the countries which are supporting terrorism and interfering in the Syrian internal affairs, are the same countries which hinder the political solution to the crisis in Syria, Syrian Arab News Agency reported. He added "As long as we are going to a political process for solving the crisis in Syria and talking about Geneva 2 conference and an international obligation and long series of operations that would lead for solving the crisis, we should start from the correct place." He slammed the foreign and regional interference in the crisis in Syria, particularly the Saudi, Qatari and Turkish interference, asserting that Turkey opened its borders and set up training and rehabilitation centers for the mercenary terrorists to send them to fight in Syria and the Saudi Arabia is doing the same across Jordan. The Minister reiterated that the Foreign Ministry's letters to the UN Secretary General and the President of the UN Security Council on the Saudi regime's continued flagrant interference in Syria's internal affairs represent a correct start through holding the countries sponsoring, funding and supporting terrorism, responsible for the bloodshed of the Syrians. "We will not allow Geneva to turn the Syrian scene from a crisis which the Syrians can solve it into a Syrian dispute where two sides are fighting to achieve the interests of foreign countries and that is what the West looks for, " he said. Minister Haider indicated that the participation of the international community in the conference comes to ensure an appropriate environment for its success but not for confiscating the opinion of the Syrians. He pointed out that the experience of Syria and the Arab countries with the international community is very bad experience throughout the history of the crisis in the region since 1946 until now
