
The National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces in a meeting on Saturday here failed to elect a new leader This came after the resignation of the Syrian opposition leader Ahmad Moath Al-Khatib. The conferees have failed to elect a new leader for the opposition. A candidate have more than 58 votes to win the leadership. Ahmad Jarba received 49 votes, in second place came Mustafa al-Sabbagh with 46 votes and Loai Safi with 10 votes, according to Syrian Coalition Media Office. It added that at this time the second round of the voting process is held to elect a new leader for opposition.
