The Syrian troops have secured towns located on international roads in the country's northern province of Aleppo, the army's general command said in a statement Saturday. The army has managed to deliver humanitarian aid to the affected people in several towns located on international roads in Aleppo, the statement said. The statement said that such achievement "comes in the framework of eliminating what has left of terrorists and mercenaries in those areas." The army's command also called on those who have held arms to lay down their weapons. The army has been fighting intense clashes with the rebels, who have been trying to take control over Aleppo, Syria's largest city and economic hub.
