British police say a 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of terrorism offenses.
South East Counter Terrorism Unit police said the teen was arrested Thursday morning on suspicion of "arranging funds or property for the purposes of terrorism," The Daily Mail reported.
The teen has not been identified or charged. Police say the arrest relates to a police inquiry involving overseas conflicts and there was no immediate threat to the public related to the arrest.
A rising number of Britons have traveled to Syria in recent years to join Daesh extremists there.
The teen is being held in High Wycombe 35 miles (55 kilometers) northwest of London.
