
A third man has been arrested following the murder of popular imam Jalal Uddin, said British news reports Thursday.
The 64-year-old was discovered suffering from a head injury on South Street, Wardleworth, Rochdale shortly before 9pm on February 18, reported the Manchester Evening News website.
He was taken to hospital but died a short time later.
A post-mortem concluded the cause of death was a serious head injury.
Police executed three warrants at 7am this morning. A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and has been taken into police custody for questioning.
It comes after Mohammed Hussain Syeedy , 21, of Ramsay Street, Rochdale, was charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder on Saturday.
Another 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and has been released on police bail until April 20
