Trade and Industry Minister Tareq Qabil held a meeting with a delegation from Italian D'Appolonia engineering company, which will lead the development of the master plan for Egypt’s mineral and energy rich Golden Triangle, led by its Business Development Manager Cristina Migliaro on Thursday.
The Golden Triangle, extending between Safaga, Quseir and Qena, comprises a number of industrial and mining projects in addition to agricultural, tourism and commercial ones, the minister said in a statement.
It will develop 9,000 square kilometers in the triangle located between the Red Sea and the Nile at Qena governorate, Upper Egypt, he said.
Prime Minister Sherif Ismail will hold a meeting with D'Appolonia officials to review the final vision of the master plan, he added.
