
The President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Dervis Eroglu stressed on Saturday that, as TRNC, they were ready to do their full share of work on solution in Cyprus. Eroglu issued a written statement, saying, "As TRNC, we believe that the time was ripe for the solution in Cyprus." Eroglu also said that he has conveyed his opinion for the solution to the UN and his Greek Cypriot friends, and added that they were ready to do their full share of work on solution and come together with Turkey, Greece, UK, and Greek Cypriot administration; "as long as, the existing realities in Cyprus could not be ignored, and an intimate agreement was aimed." Eroglu said that Cyprus problem had been discussed at all points, and related parties have already been aware of the opinions and the positions of the opposition. "What must be done is to resume on the negotiations, and work on coming through an intimate agreement." also said Eroglu.
