Tunisia today denied reports about an intention to establish a U.S. military base on its territory.Spokesman of the Tunisian Defense Ministry Brigadier Mukhtar ibn Nasr said in a statement today the reports were mere rumors, stressing that this issue is not at all on the table.referring to a meeting between Gen. Carter Ham, Commander of U.S. Forces in Africa (AFRICOM) Commander Tunisian Army Chief of Staff General Rashid Ammar during a visit to Tunisia on Tuesday , the spokesman said that this meeting falls within the framework of courtesy and farewell bidding as the Ham will be retire soon
