Tunisia president condemns coup attempt in Libya

Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki condemned the coup attempt in Libya, according to a statement by the Tunisian Presidency Saturday. Marzouki denounced what he called a coup targeting the " transitional path in Libya" in a phone call Friday night with speaker of the Libyan General National Congress Nouri Boussahmine. The Tunisian president reiterated his support to the legitimacy of the elected transitional congress in Libya and Tunisia's endorsement of its political roadmap aiming to complete Libya's transition successfully. "The stability of Libya and its security is Tunisia's stability and security," marzouki said. He also expressed his faith in Libyans' ability to overcome the difficulties and lead their country through the democratic path.
