Tunisia has sent a plane-load of humanitarian assistance to Syrian refugees in Turkey. The Tunisian government sent a plane-load of food, medical stuffs and blankets for Syrian refugees who are currently staying in the southern provinces of Turkey, said a statement by the Tunisian embassy here. According to the statement, a Tunisian military aircraft carried the aid material to the Gaziantep province on Friday. There were 144,755 Syrians currently staying in Turkey, said Turkish Prime Ministry's Disaster and Emergency Management Directorate (AFAD). The AFAD has set up tent camps in several provinces for the displaced Syrians. Syria has been in unrest for over 21 months, with hundreds of thousands of Syrians fleeing to neighbor countries.
