Tunisia will chair the Arab-European ministerial meeting to be held in Cairo on Tuesday within the framework of Tunisia's heading to the Arab League (AL) council.
The get-together will tackle number of issues and files of common interest.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Tunisian presidency said that President Beji Caid Essebsi met with Foreign Minister Khamis al Jehinawi to probe number of files including the expected Arab-European ministerial meeting and the extraordinary meeting of the Arab foreign ministers on Monday where conditions in Syria will be discussed.
The two meetings will be held at the AL general secretariat in Cairo.
Essebsi followed up with al Jehinawi the outcome of his visit to Algeria on Thursday where he met with the Algerian counterpart Abdelaziz Bouteflika, the statement read.
