Tunisia’s President Mohammed Moncef Marzouki met here on Thursday with France’s Foreign Minister Alain Juppe, who is currently visiting Tunisia. Following the meeting, Juppe said that his country hopes to establish a new partnership with Tunisia based on equality and mutual respect .. He added that this partnership is of significant political dimensions on the grounds that the experience of democratic transition in Tunisia can be a model in the region in addition to its economic dimension. He noted that his country is working to help Tunisia achieve its economic growth .. He also expressed his satisfaction for the progress of the path of democratic transition in Tunisia after the elections of the National Constituent Assembly. The French foreign minister arrived in Tunis earlier in the day on a two-day visit.
