Turkey said Saturday it was grateful for Palestinian movements, Hamas and Fatah, for signing the Qatar-sponsored reconciliation agreement. Turkey hopes the Palestinian factions continue their endeavors with the "spirit of unity and solidarity" as well as implementing the Doha Declaration that was signed by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas politburo chief Khaled Mishal, the foreign ministry said in a statement. It said the entire international community should support the Palestinian reconciliation process. Turkey, added the ministry, would continue its support for the unity and solidarity in Palestinie to ultimately reach a just and permanent solution for the Palestinian cause. Turkey prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan telephoned Abbas and appreciated his efforts to reach full conciliation between all Palestinian factions.
