Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Tuesday that Turkey is prepared to bring Iraqi President Jalal Talabani to Turkey for treatment after he suffered a heart attack, local newspaper Today's Zaman reported on its website. "We told them that we can bring President Talabani via an air ambulance to a hospital in Turkey or just send an air ambulance if they prefer that instead. It is up to the Iraqi officials to review the options we presented them," Erdogan said. Earlier in the day, a medical source told Xinhua that Talabani was admitted to Baghdad hospital of Madinat al-Tib late Monday night and was unconscious due to stroke. A statement released by the president office confirmed that Talabani has been admitted to a hospital in Baghdad "because of fatigue and tiredness." Talabani, 79, has suffered various health problems in recent years.
