Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Besir Atalay met President of Libya Muhammad Youssuf al Mugarief and Prime Minister Ali Zeidan in Tripoli yesterday. Meetings were in closed doors. Atalay spoke to Anadolu Agency afterwards and said "I expressed Turkey's readiness for cooperation and contribution to the President and Prime Minister." Atalay visited Libya for the symposium held by SETA, a Turkish think-tank. The symposium was titled "New geopolitics of North Africa: Turkey and Libya." Turkish Deputy PM also indicated this meeting was very productive as Turkish journalists, academics met with counterparts from Libya. Atalay said he expected the meeting will contribute to the Libya's political actors who are working to establish the new shape of the country in transition process.
