Turkish Defense Minister Fikri Isik said Turkey's relations with Russia do not mean a weakening of Ankara's NATO links.
Speaking at a conference of Turkish ambassadors in the capital Ankara, Isik said Turkey's relations with NATO would continue with "determination", noting that Turkey has not caused any problems that harm the organization, Anadolu Agency reported.
He added when NATO fails to support Turkey, "we can criticize and demand it honor those commitments." Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan criticized the organization recently for failing to support Turkey with air forces in Operation Euphrates Shield against ISIS in northern Syria, while the Turkey-Russia relation has progressed recently, and finally reached to cease fire agreement in Syria.
