Turkey seeks a 'deadline based process' to enter the European Union rather than an open-ended process, said Turkish Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Mevlut Cavusoglu on Monday. Turkey has always fulfilled its responsibilities to enter the EU determinedly and will continue to do so, Cavusoglu said during a meeting with Norwegian Ambassador to Turkey, Janis Bjorn Kanavin. The minister called on EU member states for more cooperation. Norway has fully supported Turkey's EU membership process, despite not being a member of the bloc, he added. The minister will accompany Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his visit to Brussels on Monday evening. Cavusoglu said that they would also discuss opening new EU accession chapters and the obstacles to their opening during their visit to Brussels.
