Turkey sides with Saudi to fight militants after mosque attack

Turkey strongly condemned on Saturday a suicide attack that killed at least 21 at a Shiite mosque in eastern Saudi Arabia, a Turkish official statement said.

"We condemn the attack that left many dead and wounded in a mosque in the province of Qatif of Saudi Arabia," said the statement released by the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

Turkey will continue its cooperation with Saudi Arabia in fight against terrorism," the statement added.

The attack that targeted "Imam Ali" Mosque in Qudaih area of the Saudi city of Qatif also left 66 Shiite worshipers injured.

The Daesh claimed responsibility for the blast that killed at least 21 people on Friday in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi security authorities have been involved in a war against internal terror and extremism. Terror cells linked to the Daesh have been recently dismantled.
