Turkey welcomed the declaration of Libya's liberation just days after the country's ousted leader, Muammar Gadhafi, was killed by forces of Libya's new rulers in Sirte, the Turkish Foreign ministry said in a statement on Monday. "We joyfully welcome the declaration of Libya's liberation and we congratulate the Libyan people on this historic and happy day," the foreign ministry said. The National Transitional Council (NTC), Libya' s interim ruler, declared on Sunday in Benghazi the liberation of Libya, eight months after the beginning of the uprising against Moammar Gaddafi ' s 42-year rule.
