
Turkey welcomed on Wednesday the successful conclusion of the proceedings of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC), describing it as an important step in the ongoing transition process in Yemen. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey congratulated President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi for his strong leadership and the Government of Yemen and the participants of the NDC for their positive contribution to the reaching of an agreement. “We are confident that the drafting of a democratic Constitution compatible with the conclusions of the National Dialogue Conference, securing fundamental human rights and freedoms and holding of free, fair and democratic elections will constitute significant steps in the period ahead for a stable and prosperous Yemen”, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in the statement. “Turkey will continue its support to the establishment of stability, security and economic development in brotherly and friendly Yemen in the period ahead”
