The death of Libya's ousted leader Muammar Gaddafi was a historic turn that should be considered as " a bitter lesson," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday. The fate of Gaddafi and his regime constitutes a bitter lesson that should be reviewed carefully regarding the movements of change and transformation in the region, the ministry said. The ministry said Gaddafi's death had opened a new era in Libya which needs to complete the political process by "embracing all segments of the society in unity and without allowing any room for personal ambitions, and any feelings of grudge and vengeance." The ministry said Turkey would continue to support Libya as in the past.
