Turkey's Minister for EU and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis has said solution process was not a bargaining process and it was not oriented towards a certain section in Turkey. Speaking in Istanbul Bagis said terror was Turkey's biggest problem, claimed 40,000 lives and cost USD 350 billion. Bagis said solution process was not a bargaining process and it was not oriented towards a certain section. He said all sections in Turkey were victims in different times, in different ways. He said solution process started on October 3, 2002, (the date AK Party came to power) and they were determined to solve Turkey's problems. He said there was no way out other than living together peacefully. On presidency system, Bagis said it was not a "dictatorial regime" as reflected and stated that AK Party wants presidential system for the stability of the country. He said they want presidential system in order to avoid coalitions in the future. He said with the presidential system Turkey would leap.
