Turkish campaign called 'Winter comes, Bread and Blanket for Syria' ends

The collected amount at the account of the campaign ''Winter comes... Bread and Blanket for Syria'' as of March 25 was 20 million 157 thousand liras, said Prime Ministry Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) on Monday. The amount of donation within the scope of the campaign for the victims of the tragedy in Syria reached 20 million 157 thousand liras, AFAD said. (1 USD equals 1.82 Turkish liras) Also, in the statement, AFAD thanked all institutions, organizations and citizens who stood by the Syrian people in their hard times. "Winter comes... Bread and Blanket for Syria" campaign was supported by non-governmental organizations in Turkey. The campaign aimed to provide humanitarian aid for Syrians who were affected by the civil war in their country and had to migrate to Turkey.
