Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc has said, Tuesday night's attacks on the ruling AK Party headquarters and Turkish Ministry of Justice building were attempts against democracy. Arinc evaluated the recent developments in a meeting held with Association of Diplomacy Journalists in Ankara. He emphasized the attacks were terror acts no matter what the purpose was and it was an extremely bad action whether it was aimed at the ruling party or the opposition. He also stated he was pleased as noone was killed in the attacks. ''I regard these attacks as anattack not only on AK Party but also on political parties, democracy, superiority of law and the real sides of democracy that look for solution with the help of politics,'' said Arinc. Arinc said on one side the resolution process was ongoing and the resolution talks were successful adding that there were internal and external powers who were not pleased with the process, did not want it to come to an end and were willing the terror to continue in deadlock. "The attacks, aimed at the rulingAK Party headquarters and Turkish Ministry of Justice building, point DHKP-C terror organization. As you know DHKP-C is a terrorist organization having its ups and downs since the 1970s. We have the knowledge that the (recent suicide bomb) attack on the US Embassy in Ankara was carried out by DHKP-C. Their dynamics were turned upside down in the recent operations carried out by Turkish police in Istanbul and Ankara," the minister added. Stating that they were surprised with the criticisms of the main opposition party's leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu on the security operations against the terror organizations, Arinc said starting from the assassination of Sabanci, it was possible to regard the attacks as a reaction to the operations against terror organizations. Several evidences show that DHKP-C organization might be behind the attacks. However it is not certain yet, the minister said adding the terror organization might want to send a message to say that they are still strong despite all the operations. He also emphasized that the resolution process might be manipulated by those who do not want a positive result to come out of the talks for the Kurdish issue in a different place in Turkey.
