
Turkish security forces arrested 29 illegal Syrian immigrants in Mugla city while they were sailing west of the country toward one of Greek islands, Turkish military Chief of Staff office said on Friday.The military said, in a statement, that Turkish Coast Guard noticed two boats sailing within Turkey's territorial waters around the Greek islands, so immediately they asked the boats to stop, and guided them to nearby a coastal area for further questioning. The statement said that the immigrants had paid a sum of USD 3,000 to be deported to the Greek islands and make their way to one of the European countries.On another front, Turkish security forces arrested a PKK element while trying to infiltrate from Syria to Turkey.
